Ordering Spam Filtering Service
Ordering service is easy. Just send us an email to sales@junkemailfilter.com. Include in your email the domain or list of domains that you want us to filter for you. After we get your email we will configure our routers for your domains so that our system knows where to send the good email when we get done filtering the spam out of it.
Additional Information we may need when you place your order:
- When we set you up what we normally do is read your lowest numbered MX record and we put that in the routing table for your domain. If that isn't where we should send your good email please provide the host name or IP address of your email server. Host names are preferred. Usually we can figure it out on our own.
- We can forward email on nonstandard ports. If you would like that set up just pick a port number and we can set it up.
- When we do bill you we usually use the name and email address that you contact us with. If the billing name or email address is different let us know.
- If you are emailing from the domain we are setting up please provide a phone number or email address from a different domain. (gmail, yahoo, hotmail) so we can contact you if there's a problem. Sometimes things go wrong during initial setup and if there's an emergency and we need to contact you this will make it possible.
- If there's anything else you want us to know or you want us to ask us a question, feel free to include that. If you want to tell us how you found us or why you picked us that would be helpful.
- During the trial period it's just as easy to set up 100 domains as 1 domain. So if you want to test our system feel free to send us as big a list as you want. We want you to explore our system as much as possible.
After we set it up we will send you an email telling you what to do next. All you have to do is follow the instructions or send the instructions to your technical people. Feel free to ask any questions you want when ordering.
Frequently Asked Questions about Purchasing
Q) If I go over my limit will I lose email?
A) No - if we notice that you are over we will send you a notice asking for more money. But your email will not be cut off.
Q) What happens after I change my MX record to turn the service on? Will I lose any email or will my email be delayed during the transition?
A) You will not lose any email. After the switch email will start switching from going direct to you to going to you through our servers. You should notice a drop in spam in an hour but it usually take a few days to completely switch over.
Q) Is your spam filtering service really as good as John C. Dvorak says it is?
A) Almost. There will always be some spam that gets through. But it really is rather amazing how much spam is rejected. And although we try as hard as we can never to have false positives it does occasionally happen. However if we have a problem with someone being blocked let us know because we can usually fix anything. Spammers are always changing tactics so we have to constantly adjust our system to catch them.
